Hub’s work has impacted the National level Care Work Policy
Prior to the 2021, Kenya had never conducted a time use survey at a national level. The survey contributes to SDG Indicator 5.4.1: Proportion of time spent on unpaid care and domestic work by sex, age and location. Key Findings: Women spend three hours 36 minutes more on unpaid care and domestic work than men.
Hub fully incorporated into the Gender Sector Working Group for policy impact
The Hub is fully incorporated into the Gender Sector Working Group in the ministry of Gender Culture, the Arts and Heritage, a position that enhances its ability to advocate for the utilisation of gender data in Women’s Economic Empowerment programme and policy design and implementation.
