The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA-Kenya) participated in BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD conference’s poster presentation session. Out of the initial 30 submissions, the BIGD panel selected 15 posters for inclusion based on criteria such as relevance to the conference’s themes, creativity, innovation, intellectual rigour, and potential impact. The IEA’s poster presentation was titled “Gender Responsive Budgeting: Tracking the Effects of Budgets and Public Spending on Women’s Economic Empowerment Initiatives (WEEI) in Kenya.” Among the 15 selected posters, the IEA’s presentation was ranked third, with the top three presentations receiving cash prizes and recognition from BIGD.
