Dr. Hudson Ouko is currently a senior lecturer at the department of early childhood and special needs education of Kenyatta university. He holds a Ph.D. from Kenyatta university in early childhood studies. He also has a Master of Education degree in early childhood education besides a bachelors of education in early childhood education. Dr. Hudson Ouko is teacher and trainer of early childhood teachers and caregivers at Ph.D., Maters, Bachelors and diploma levels. He has a strong background in early and foundational education which embeds him well in the space of teacher education in the competence-based education. He has undergone through a number of retooling, training and induction courses in teacher education and curriculum implementation. He participated in   the evaluation research of the Windle International educational interventions in Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camps conducted by Kenyatta University team in 2022/23. His research at masters and Ph.D. Levels focused more on foundational learning- literacy and numeracy acquisition in early years. He has supervised a number of masters and Ph.D. candidates. He has published over 28 articles in refereed journals. He has authored several university training modules for early childhood services providers and students. He is a peer reviewer for the IJRISS-ijriss@rsisinternational.org Journal. He is an adjunct faculty of Mount Kenya University. He also examines theses and postgraduate projects for Pwani University, University of Kabianga and Kisii University. He has participated and presented at scholarly conferences on early childhood and foundational learning
