Primary Outcome:  Increased Awareness, Reporting and Effective Action against SGBV by 30 % for WEE in Tharaka Nithi County

Dr. Jane Wanjira Njuguna has more than 15 years’ experience in development and research work.  She holds a PhD in Business administration (University of Nairobi, Kenya) with a focus on social marketing.  She has undertaken various researches and has been lead consultant for national and international NGOs including; baseline data analysis for Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) DREAMS Innovation Challenge Project aimed at keeping girls in school, promoting gender-positive factors, removing school attendance barriers that increase transition of girls’ in Standard 8 to Form 2 in Nairobi slums’ non-formal schools in 2016; analysis of nutrition policies and funding in National and County governments in Kenya for Kenya AIDS NGO’s Consortium (KANCO) in 2018; and Development of Common Training Kit on Gender Mainstreaming in Kenya’s Tea Industry in 2017. Jane has been co-lead in the End of Project evaluation for African Women Development Fund (AWDF) in 2014. She also led in the development of policy brief and information packs on HIV and SRH for Prisons’ stakeholders including policy makers, community leaders, service providers and community members for Resource Oriented Development Initiatives (RODI Kenya) in 2014. Jane led the review, editing and designing of the 2018 – 2023 strategic plan for Coalition on Violence Against Women (COVAW) in 2018. Jane is passionate about transforming the lives of young girls and women through productive and sustainable livelihoods that lead to social, psychological and economic independence.
