The Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) – a global network of more than 6 000 members – is the world’s largest network on research on violence against women (VAW) and violence against children (VAC), providing a space where global role players in the field connect with one another, share and promote their research, work to influence policies and improve the lives of those who have experienced gender-based violence.
The SVRI 2022 Forum provided an opportunity to learn about the newest innovations for prevention and responding to gender-based violence in low- and middle-income countries. In line with our capacity building and knowledge sharing approach, the Hub was represented in the forum by Advocacy and Policy Lead, Prof. Grace Ngare. Prof. Ngare is also the Principal Investigator in the study on Effectiveness of SGBV Mitigation and Prevention Programmes in Enhancing Women’s Economic Empowerment .
