KU-WEE Hub joined the rest of the world to #InspireInclusion on International Women’s Day!

This year’s International women’s Day was marked under the theme “Count Her in: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.” and we were glad to host our stakeholders in celebrating the resilience of women across the world.

We began with an insightful virtual round-table discussion focusing on this year’s theme. Mrs. Roseline Odede, Chairperson of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights spoke on Investing in women, a human rights issue, sharing key insights on the status of women’s rights in Kenya and the critical nexus between the respect for women’s rights and sustainable development. Mrs. Odede emphasised the need to focus on building the capacity of women and girls to access quality education and training as a means to improve their inclusion and participation in all spheres of life.
